The Periphery is a media and community devoted to bringing into focus that which we ordinarily miss: a life story of an unnoticed person, an unseen angle on a current topic, or an unrecognized solution to a social issue.
Be a part of our journey:
Homelessness in America is an epidemic with no solution in sight—as seen recently in my home city of Minneapolis with the rise of its largest-ever tent city.
With the story of this tent city at the core, I am creating a docu-series looking at the history, data, and stories around the issue of homelessness in America. This includes: the stories as told by the homeless themselves, the experiences and insights from those working with them, and various perspectives from the community.
We’re raising money for this project. To learn more about it and to contribute, visit our GoFundMe campaign.

THE SUNDAY EVENING POST
Each Sunday I write to friends and readers, offering an inspirational message for the week and updating them on my travels, media projects, and events. I’ve been writing these since 2014 whether on the road or at home in Minnesota. I’d love to include you on my list.
